Unity Metals Limited (ASX: UM1) — 40m at 1.9g/t Gold, Including 5m at 10.5g/t Gold, Intersected at O’Phlay Gold Project, Cambodia
27 July 2026
Price Sensitive Announcement $
Highlights:
- Significant gold mineralisation discovered in the first drill hole ever completed at the O’Phlay Gold Project in Mondulkiri Province, eastern Cambodia, with no modern drilling having previously been conducted at the project despite evident historical open-pit and underground gold mining
- First drill hole 26DDCM001 returned:
- 40m @ 1.9g/t Au from 82m, including 17m @ 3.9g/t Au from 82m and 5m @ 10.5g/t Au from 85m
- 8.5m @ 0.7g/t Au from 129.5m
- Gold mineralisation is associated with a broad zone of quartz-arsenopyrite veins — both massive (up to 20m wide) and stockwork — within diorite, extending from surface and remaining open at depth and along strike
- Mineralisation at O’Phlay is intrusion-related gold (IRG), similar in style to Unity’s own Ngot Gold Project and Emerald Resources’ Okvau Gold Mine located 60km to the west
- Two prominent GAIP chargeability anomalies in the eastern Camp Prospect collectively extend over 1.8km, with drilling planned to systematically test these extensive target areas
- Four holes for 570.6m have been completed to date from the initially planned 3,000m, 21-hole program, with assays pending for holes 26DDCM002–004
- Unity intends to extend the planned drill program to follow up gold mineralisation at depth and along strike given the highly encouraging first-hole results
Overview:
Unity Metals has delivered a landmark result from its maiden drilling program at the O’Phlay Gold Project in eastern Cambodia, with the first ever modern drill hole at the project intersecting 40m at 1.9g/t Au from 82m — including a high-grade core of 5m at 10.5g/t Au — the best intersection the Company has achieved anywhere in Cambodia to date.
Hole 26DDCM001 was drilled beneath a broad zone of gold-bearing veins exposed in historical open pits at the Camp Prospect, adjacent to a historical Vietnamese processing plant, targeting a strong and coincident north-south-trending GAIP chargeability anomaly. The hole intersected a broad zone of both massive quartz-arsenopyrite veins, up to 20m wide, and adjoining stockwork veins within diorite — a mineralisation style analogous to the intrusion-related gold systems seen at Unity’s Ngot Gold Project and Emerald Resources’ Okvau Gold Mine 60km to the west, one of Cambodia’s most significant recent gold discoveries.
The mineralisation commences at 82m downhole and remains open at depth and along strike, providing immediate and compelling follow-up potential. Two prominent GAIP chargeability anomalies identified in the eastern portion of the Camp Prospect collectively extend over 1.8km, and the program’s remaining 17 planned holes will systematically test these targets alongside other areas defined by the Company’s geological mapping and geochemical sampling. Given the strength of the first result, Unity has already signalled its intention to extend the program beyond the originally planned 3,000m to follow up gold mineralisation at depth and along strike. Assays from holes 26DDCM002–004, completed to date for a total of 570.6m, are expected in the coming weeks.

Company Notes:
Unity Metals Founder and Managing Director, Craig Mackay, said: “We are very excited about the results from our first hole in our maiden drilling at the O’Phlay Project. Whilst we have recently discovered gold across the Ngot Project, the gold intersection of 40 m @ 1.9 g/t gold at O’Phlay is by far the best obtained by Unity in Cambodia to date. It demands immediate follow-up. This first hole was drilled directly beneath a broad zone of gold-bearing veins exposed in open pits at the Camp Prospect, next door to the historical Vietnamese processing plant. It also tested a strong and coincident, north-south-trending, GAIP chargeability anomaly. There are two of these prominent GAIP chargeability anomalies that have been located in the eastern portion of the Camp Prospect, that collectively extend over 1.8 km. We eagerly await the results of our planned drilling along these extensive target areas. More assays are expected in the coming weeks.”
About Unity Metals Limited (ASX: UM1):
Unity Metals is an ASX-listed gold exploration company focused on Cambodia, advancing two gold projects in the highly prospective eastern Cambodian gold belt. The Company’s flagship Ngot Gold Project and its newly drilled O’Phlay Gold Project both host intrusion-related gold mineralisation analogous to Emerald Resources’ Okvau Gold Mine — one of Southeast Asia’s most significant recent gold developments. Unity’s maiden drilling at O’Phlay has delivered the Company’s best-ever Cambodian gold intersection, with a planned 21-hole, 3,000m program now set to be extended to follow up the discovery.
