Highlights:

  • Mining Lease Application (MLA) 6M/2026 has been registered over 458 hectares at Flynn Gold’s 100% owned Golden Ridge Project in northeast Tasmania — the Company’s first Mining Lease Application and an important milestone on the pathway toward gold mining in the region
  • The MLA covers the Brilliant and Trafalgar gold deposits, which are included in the November 2024 JORC-compliant Exploration Target of 3.5–5.4Mt grading 3.0–4.0g/t Au for 449,000–520,000oz of contained gold, as well as 3km of highly prospective ground between the two deposits
  • The MLA includes the proposed Gold Processing Hub site — approximately 70 hectares of cleared plantation land with grid power approximately 2km to the west and excellent all-weather road access, connected to the Golden Ridge deposits by a 6km access corridor
  • Environmental baseline studies within MLA 6M/2026 have commenced, including ecological assessment and drainage evaluation, as part of the formal mine permitting process
  • The MLA registration accelerates Flynn Gold’s project development activities, including resource drilling at the Brilliant and Trafalgar prospects aimed at converting the Exploration Target to a Mineral Resource, alongside commencement of metallurgical studies and stakeholder engagement
  • The proposed processing hub is designed to service not only Golden Ridge but potentially other nearby gold deposits developed by Flynn or third parties in the region, including the historically productive Mathinna Goldfield approximately 10km to the west

Overview:

Flynn Gold has reached a significant milestone in the development of its Golden Ridge Project in northeast Tasmania, with the registration of Mining Lease Application 6M/2026 over 458 hectares of ground covering the Company’s cornerstone Brilliant and Trafalgar gold deposits — the first Mining Lease Application in Flynn Gold’s history.

The MLA, pegged on 24 June 2026 and lodged with Mineral Resources Tasmania on 30 June 2026, covers the gold deposits underpinning the Company’s November 2024 JORC-compliant Exploration Target of 3.5–5.4Mt at 3.0–4.0g/t Au for 449,000–520,000oz, which itself has not yet been updated to include 2025 drilling results. Trafalgar, the flagship prospect within the MLA, has previously delivered spectacular high-grade drill intercepts including 0.7m @ 152.5g/t Au and 0.5m @ 169.8g/t Au — sub-intervals within a broader mineralised system of intrusive-related gold mineralisation extending over a 9km-long corridor.

Critically, the MLA encompasses approximately 70 hectares of cleared former pine plantation land identified as the ideal site for a future Gold Processing Hub. With grid power approximately 2km to the west and excellent all-weather road access, the site has the attributes Flynn Gold needs to establish a regional processing facility capable of handling production not only from Golden Ridge but potentially from other nearby gold projects in the region — including those developed by third parties. The 6km access corridor linking the processing site to the deposits further strengthens the logistics case.

Flynn Gold has deliberately started the mine permitting process early, recognising that environmental and mine approvals typically represent the longest lead-time component of any new mine development. Environmental baseline work is already underway, including ecological assessment and drainage evaluation, with follow-up flora and fauna surveys, installation of weather stations and baseline water quality monitoring planned for later in 2026.

With the MLA now registered, the Company is accelerating across multiple workstreams simultaneously — resource drilling at Brilliant and Trafalgar, metallurgical studies, and stakeholder engagement — in a project development approach designed to compress the timeline from exploration to potential production in one of Australia’s most underexplored but highly prospective emerging gold provinces.

Company Notes:

Flynn Gold Managing Director and CEO, Neil Marston, commented: “We have achieved an important milestone on our pathway towards establishing gold mining in northeast Tasmania with the registration of Flynn Gold’s first Mining Lease application at Golden Ridge. Importantly, the application covers not only the cornerstone Brilliant and Trafalgar deposits but also 3km of highly prospective ground in between as well as about 70 hectares of cleared plantation land identified as an ideal location for a future gold processing facility. The proposed processing site has grid power and all-weather roads nearby, key attributes required for Flynn’s northeast Tasmanian Processing Hub strategy. The processing site is connected to the Golden Ridge deposits by a 6km long access corridor adjacent to and including an existing road. We have also commenced a program of environmental surveys within the Mining Lease area, which represents an important part of the approvals process. Mine and environmental permitting is often the longest part of any new mine development, so we have deliberately started this process early, while other resource development and mine planning activities occur simultaneously.”
