Overview:

ReadyTech has secured a major win in the education technology sector, being selected as the Student Management System platform provider for the entire Victorian TAFE Network following a competitive tender process led by the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions.

The selection significantly expands ReadyTech’s existing footprint in Victoria’s vocational education sector, building on its multi-year, co-designed partnership with three existing TAFE customers — Bendigo Kangan Institute, Chisholm Institute and Melbourne Polytechnic. That earlier collaboration, which followed a landmark platform selection several years ago, has seen ReadyTech and its TAFE partners design and evolve a student management platform purpose-built for modern vocational education delivery — work that has now been validated at network scale across all 11 Victorian TAFE Institutes.

While the contract carries an initial five-year term, the Company has been clear that no committed contract values or rollout timelines exist at this stage, with implementation to be progressed through further scoping and negotiation with individual TAFE Institutes. ReadyTech’s platform has also been designed to support the growing convergence between vocational and higher education, recognising that many Victorian TAFE institutes increasingly deliver higher education programs alongside traditional VET offerings. The selection aligns with findings from the Independent Review of the Victorian Public Service, which highlighted the role of modern, interoperable platforms — including shared student systems — in improving service quality, consistency and learner outcomes across the state.

With the Victorian TAFE Network delivering training to more than 170,000 students annually, the selection positions ReadyTech as a long-term strategic technology partner across one of Australia’s largest vocational education systems, even as the commercial terms of network-wide implementation remain to be finalised.
